We took a look at the board of directors of the largest 20 companies (by market capitalization) in America. We examined their board for gender representation and caucasian representation.
Gender Diversity on Board of Directors
On average, 72% of the board seats of the top 20 companies in the US are occupied by men.
No companies had a majority of women on their boards. Amazon is the only company with equal representation between women and men. Berkshire Hathaway has the least representation from women on their board with only 12%.
Racial Diversity on Board of Directors
On average, 4 out of 5 board seats of the top 20 companies in the US are held by caucasians.
Alphabet had the lowest percentage of Caucasian representation on their board of directors with 64% while NVIDIA had the highest percentage of caucasian representation with 92%.
